Streets of Bethlehem

Waiting to go back in time.

Leaving a note so they know we were here.

"As you enter you will travel back in time to 3AD and experience the sights, sounds and smells of a busy street in Bethlehem the night Christ was born. Your family and friends can actually walk though a live drama and interact with people who lived in Bethlehem. Realistic dwellings, a quick taste of village life, live animals, Messianic dancing, Roman guards and a most important, a visit to see the new born Savior, Jesus. Visit the Streets of Bethlehem and create special memories this Christmas for the whole family."
~From Appleton Alliance Church's website

The locals welcomed us

I got some spending money, what should I buy?

I'm only a guinea pig do I still have to sign the census?

Trying some of the local foods.  Yum, Yum!

Some of the locals dancing, I wonder if I could do that?

Reflecting on what this time of year truly means.

Local merchants selling some goods.

Talking to the local animals.

This donkey helped carry Mary here.

1st snow fall

So we finally got some snow.  It was so exciting.  The great thing is it's still snowing and I'm hoping to go sledding soon with Harrison and Corbin.  That'll be so much fun.

Hanging with my friend Squeaks

I had the honor of hanging out with my dear friend Squeaks tonight.  She is one cool gal.  Here are some pictures from our time together.  We shared a snack, that was one yummy carrot.

Christmas Parade

So I had fun enjoying the crisp fall air, even though it was more like winter.  Silly me for forgetting my scarf and mittens, I'll have to find them for any of my upcoming adventures.

This first picture is of me in the parking ramp you can see the public library's float down below.

This picture I'm at the end of the parade route and you can kind of see the floats as they break off.
Here I am by another float at the end of the parade.

They were broadcasting the parade on TV, that's them in the background in this picture, I don't think I made it on though.  Wouldnt' that have been a sight!?
Bubolz Nature Center's float.  That is a really nice place to go and visit.  I should go again one of these days.
The chipmunks are one of my favorite singing groups.  I can't wait to be able to see them in person.
Grandma Park's high school band was in front of Santa this year.  The local high schools rotate each year.

Spot the fire dog was waving to all the kids and hoping they remembered all the proper fire safety tips.  Do you know them all?

Here is the big man himself.  Santa.  Well that means Christmas isn't that far off.  He made a trip just for the parade.

New Gear

I decided that I should pick up come new winter gear.  So I have a new scarf, mittens and poncho, what do you think? Is blue my color or red?

You need to have the right clothes to go out in the cold to enjoy God's handiwork.  Now I'm all set, and I can't wait to have some adventures.  Did you know that it snowed yesterday? not much stuck to the ground but soon, I'll be able to play in the snow with Harrison and Corbin!

Hi folks!

Hi everyone!  My name is Patches and I'm a guniea pig.  I live with Grandma Park.  We love to have adventures with Harrison, Amelia, Corbin and Claire.  It's fun to go and enjoy God's handiwork in the world around us.
Just the other day I was out enjoying the crisp cold air as I watched the Christmas parade in my home town.  It was amazing to see once again how many people were sitting outside and enjoying the parade.
